50th Year Celebration

Looking back:
Stuart Lake Hospital Auxiliary’s 50th Anniversary!!! – Celebration held on November 17, 2016.

The Stuart Lake Hospital Auxiliary on November 17th celebrated 50 years of continuous service to Stuart Lake Hospital and community of Fort St James. They began planning and preparing to fundraise even before the hospital opened in 1972. Over the years the auxiliary has had more than 100 individuals involved in one way or another. To honour the efforts of the Auxiliary the District, Mayor and counsel of Fort St James provided most members with a luncheon and presented them with a plaque of recognition. Then Northern Health purchased cupcakes and April Hughes the HSA for the Omineca region thanked them for all the support they have provided through out the years. They also got a letter of recognition from MLA John Rustad.

Celebrating 50 years of continual dedicated volunteerism!!! Throughout the years many local members have been a part of this group as shown in these pictures. The Auxiliary also thanks the community because with out their support we would not have been able to accomplish this. Balloons and Cake were a big hit by all!!
